Yaya Toure ready for pastures new; Lens planning PSV exit

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is reportedly seeking a new challenge away from the Etihad Stadium, with his agent Dimitri Seluk revealing that he could sign for a bevy of big clubs , including the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea or FC Barcelona, .

Yaya Toure made 44 appearances for English Premier League champions Manchester City last term, tallying nine goals and nine assists in all competitions for Roberto Mancini s side.

Toure has done everything that he can with City and needs new motivations, revealed Seluk.

He could sign for many big clubs, like Chelsea or Bayern Munich, but I would like it if Barca made a bid for him.

Toure, who joined the Catalans from Monaco for a transfer fee of €10 million in 2007, spent three seasons at the Camp Nou, where he won seven trophies, including back-to-back La Liga titles in 2008-09 and 2009-10.

In 2010, Yaya Toure joined his brother Kolo at Manchester City in a deal involving a reported transfer fee of £24 million.

Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium, the Côte d Ivoire international has won three trophies at the club, including last season s Premier League title, City s first league triumph since 1968, which prompted Manchester United to remove their infamous trophy-less banner from Old Trafford.

Lens planning PSV exit

, Holland international forward Jeremain Lens is planning to leave his current club PSV Eindhoven to secure a move abroad next summer.

The 24-year-old has admitted that his career has not progressed at the rate that he had hoped, despite becoming a Holland international at the age of 22, and netting three goals in his first five international caps for the Oranje.

Honestly I had expected to be further in my career right now, Lens told Algemeen Dagblad.

But after a bad point and some injuries I had to adjust my expectations. I had in mind that I would have already played tournaments with the Dutch national team and played in a foreign league.

English Premier League newcomers Southampton reportedly had a bid for Lens rejected in the summer transfer window.

The Saints did not dwell on their failed attempt, quickly turning their attention to 21-year-old Uruguay international Gaston Ramirez, who was a rumored target of Liverpool at the time.

However, Southampton won the race for the Uruguayan after agreeing a club-record £12 million fee for the attacker.

Ramirez has made three league appearances for the Saints in 2012-13, bagging one goal while setting up another.
